On September 13th, 2017, UT Dallas welcomed Olympus representatives to the opening of the Olympus Discovery Center, a collaborative effort to provide an imaging core of state-of-the-art instruments and technology. Created for both researchers on campus and external users to advance microscopy systems, this facility supports research in biological and interdisciplinary sciences, including hands-on training from staff at Olympus, an Imaging Summer School, and provides beta testing of new imaging equipment from Olympus.
