Juan Pablo Vizuet, a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas, presents his research titled, “Metal-Organic Frameworks for cancer therapy.”
Abstract: Metal-Organic Frameworks or MOFs are hybrid materials containing both organic and inorganic components. My research focuses on the synthesis of MOFs that contain Holmium as the metal component, an element that has shown potential for cancer therapy. This presentation will focus on different structures we have synthesized, as well as designs of delivery applications.
The 20/20 Focus On Research Seminar Series by the University of Texas at Dallas focuses on the outstanding research being conducted at UTD. Faculty and graduate students share the vision of how their projects can make #UTDResearchImpact.
