As Dr. Rankin took center stage in the spotlight, she showcased the research taking place at the Center for U.S. – Latin America Initiatives. Dr. Rankin is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she is also the director of the Center for U.S.-Latin America Initiatives. She specializes in the history of Mexico, Latin America, and U.S.-Latin American relations. She completed her Ph.D. in Latin American History from the University of Arizona in 2004.
