The Office of Research sponsored a New Faculty Research Symposium on November 8, 2019, providing an opportunity for new faculty members to showcase their research in a “three minute thesis” style forum.

New faculty (start date after January 2019) who participate in this event, and established faculty (those hired prior to January 2019) who attend the symposium are encouraged to collaborate and apply for the New Faculty Research Symposium Grant.

This grant is an internal funding mechanism designed to stimulate interdisciplinary research collaborations between newly hired UT Dallas faculty and established UT Dallas faculty. Successful proposals will include at least two faculty members serving as PIs from different UT Dallas departments, programs, or schools. Each PI must have attended the UT Dallas Office of Research New Faculty Research Symposium with the new faculty member delivering a research presentation.
