The Office of Research is pleased to announce the launch of Cayuse IRB for submission of new applications as well as Continuing Review applications and Modifications for existing studies beginning August 24th, 2020. Cayuse IRB is an online submission portal that will manage IRB protocols from initial submission to closeout.
Implementation of Cayuse includes inputting existing studies into the online platform, enabling PIs to view and manage all active studies in one place. In order to ensure accuracy of uploaded data, the IRB Office will not accept submission of new study applications, Continuing Reviews, or Modification requests for Expedited or Minimal Review studies starting August 10th – August 23rd.
Implementation Schedule:
- August 3rd: Group training sessions start. Official times and dates to be announced.
- August 10th – August 23rd: Submission of all IRB actions suspended to allow upload of existing studies. No new applications, Continuing Reviews, or Modifications, for Expedited and Minimal Review studies can be submitted during this time.
- August 24th: Cayuse is Live! Old application forms will no longer be accepted for Expedited or Minimal Review projects. Please submit your application in Cayuse IRB.
Class Project studies will not be affected by this roll out timeline and will continue to utilize the OAR submission system through the Fall semester. Class Projects will move to Cayuse starting in Spring 2021.
